Client Goal:
54gene wanted to leverage International Youth Day to spotlight the next generation of African genomic scientists within their organization. The goal was to humanize their mission, showcase the growth and impact of young talent, and reinforce their role in bridging the representation gap in global genomic research.

My Contribution:
I contributed to shaping the video campaign by supporting the script development and refining the messaging to ensure the scientists’ stories were clear, engaging, and aligned with 54gene’s broader narrative. I focused on bringing out the human side of the story: what they’ve learned, how they’re growing, and the real impact of their work.

I also worked with the production team during the editing process to help fine-tune the final video, ensuring the storytelling felt authentic and cohesive. In addition, I supported the campaign rollout across social platforms, helping position the content to drive visibility and engagement.

The Result:
The campaign successfully highlighted the voices and journeys of young genomic scientists, driving engagement and reinforcing 54gene’s commitment to nurturing talent and advancing African representation in global research.
