Client Goal:
54gene aimed to raise awareness about the critical need for African ancestry to be included in genomics research. The goal was to educate the public on the significance of African genetic diversity in advancing personalized healthcare and to highlight the broader implications of underrepresentation in genomic data.

My Contribution:
I developed social media copy to educate the public on the importance of including African ancestry in genomics research. I crafted content that highlighted how African genetic diversity plays a pivotal role in global research and how inclusive research can lead to more effective and personalized healthcare solutions. Through clear and compelling messaging, I helped amplify 54gene’s mission to address gaps in genomic research.

The Result:
The campaign resulted in 135 likes, 162 interactions, and 3 comments. This high engagement demonstrated the public’s growing interest in the topic and the effectiveness of the content in raising awareness. The discussions sparked by the post helped deepen understanding of the need for diversity in genomics, further positioning 54gene as a thought leader in inclusive healthcare research.
